American Comb Donates It's Products In Support Of The Arts

American Comb Corp. has generously donated an assortment of combs to the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation for their Transformers Exhibition featuring the works of artist Sonya Clark and David Ellis. The donation was used for the student body's own exhibition inspired by Clark where they used them to create inspiring, larger than life pieces which adorned the Danny Simmons’ Corridor Gallery in New York.

This is the same method Sonya Clark uses to create her own world famous pieces of art made from everyday combs. Clark is a nominee for the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award 2007; her works have been widely exhibited internationally as well as in over 120 national venues including the National Museum of African Art, Washington, DC, Museum of Art and Design, New York, NY and the Indianapolis Art Center to name a few. Her work has been reviewed in numerous national press outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Fiberarts, and Surface Magazine. American Comb has generously provided their pocket combs for several of Clark's upcoming exhibitions where she plans on premiering a work that spans almost 165 square feet.
